question about towing a jeep wrangler.

I use the ReadyBrute Elite tow bar and brakes on a Cobalt and have towed it about 30K miles and I am very pleased with it. I am currently setting up a Wrangler to tow and will use a demco base plate, RB break away, RB extra vehicle harness kit and Mopar wiring harness. As others have said easy to install and they set-up quick and work well.

If you still have warranty on your coach, check your manual about surge type braking systems. In my manual, it says their use voids warranty on the coach hitch, etc. Just FYI.

We also use the ReadyBrute tow bar to tow a 2013 2-door Jeep JK behind our RV. It works very well and is very easy to set up. It takes me about 10 minutes from the time I pull the Jeep behind the RV to being ready to go. We have the Currie JK Tow Bar Mounting plate.

I use the readybrute. It was pretty easy to initially install, it took about 1 hour, and it takes no extra time when connected and disconnecting at the campground.

Thanks for the responses. So brakes it shall be. Now next question is which one, I have been looking at the ready brake system but wondering what you use and likes and dislikes.

If your 32-footer is on a 2008 or later E-450 chassis, it has somewhat better brakes than 2007 or earlier. Still, Ford is adamant that the chassis brakes are rated at Gross VEHICLE (Coach) Weight, NOT Gross COMBINED (Coach plus Toad) weight.
Our 31-footer scales out at nearly full GVWR, so any towed vehicle is basically all above rated brake capacity. I would think yours would work out the same.
So YES, put brakes on the Wrangler.

While your chassis may be rated for the combined weight of the MH and Wrangler, THE BRAKES ARE NOT.

You NEED a braking system for the toad.

I run a Fleetwood Excursion 39S with air brakes and retarder. I've towed a Jeep Wrangler through Alaska, western Canada, the US Rockies, Colorado, and Teton Pass at 10% (up and down) two weeks ago. I don't have towing brakes on the Jeep and do just fine. Having said that, I think without air brakes and a retarder on a Class C, I wouldn't cross Teton Pass. I think your Jeep should have towing brakes on the Jeep.
