"Tee" from propane tank to gas grill

Any suggestions on how best to run a gas line from the built in LP tank to a gas grill?

I have looked at the "Camco 59103 RV Propane Brass Tee with 3 Ports and 12' Hose" as a possibility.

I does look like I would remove the cover on the regulator on the tank on the coach to install this "tee" before the regulator. If you have done this, is there room to reinstall the regulator cover?

Any suggestions or your experience would be helpful.

Thanks
  • Yes, and no.
There was no mounting location for the cover when relocated. I ended up dilling holes in the cover and using a cable tie on one end and drilling hole in gravel shiel on the other.
I had to change the low pressure hose fitting to a 90 degree style so hose would clear compartment.
  • I have the extend stay kit which allows to run off a bottle instead of the main tank and/or a grill. The fitting is installed between the shutoff and regulator. No modifications were need to install the fitting in line.
  • My T was factory installed. It is mounted after the regulator. It is one of the greatest mods on RVs.
  • Location of "T" will depend on grill. If the grill has a regulator the "T" will be placed between tank and tank regulator. No grill regulator and the T will be placed after the tank regulator.
