Re sealing the Bunk Head of a Class C

Hello All,
I posted a few weeks back that my rv Bunk head was leaking. The other day I noticed that there was a small amount of water on the floor to bunk. I assumed that the water was coming in from the clearance lights. I purchased the clear sealant form camping world. When I went to seal the clearance light two of the lights were loose and came off. I resealed and secured all lights. since then it has rained, and there is a smaller amount of water on the floor to the bunk, much less then before and more like damp wood. I thought it could be coming front the front window but it looks like the prior owner placed some type of epoxy around the window.
My main question is. are there any common areas where the class C over head bunk leak. I plan on replacing all of the caulking to include the roof. Should I place a thin coat of caulking around the window over the epoxy ?
Also can I seal right after it stops raining and if rains a few hours after will it hurt the caulking. I'm using the flex caulking that camping world sells and Dicor on the roof.
Any help will be welcomed.

  • Yes, it is very common for class C bunks to leak. See if you can trace the water at all. My class C had leaks in the following places near the bunk: clearance lights, windows (front and side), seam, awning anchor, front vent.
