Ready Brute Elite Installation 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk

I am wondering of anyone in this community has ever done a install of the NSA Ready Brute Elite brake cable on a 2017 Cherokee (or model years 2014-2017)?
I am wondering what the challenges are and if someone might have pictures relating to:
  • where the cable might exit the front bumper
  • cable routing in the engine compartment
  • hole drilled in firewall.

Any advice, tips, and tricks would be most helpful:)
  • I installed it 3 years ago on my 2014 TH
You can do it if you are handy
The cable going into the bumper will be horizontally aligned with the bumper, it will be obvious when you install
The brake cable through the firewall is a little tricky, but it must be aligned to the brake pedal. Take the left front wheel off and note the brake plumbing behind the firewall. Find a reference point that is detectable from both sides of the firewall, use it to identify where the brake plumbing is so you don't drill a hole through anything important!
The firewall is two layers separated by about 1/2" (unibody?), you must go through both layers and secure the sleeve well
that's what I can remember from 3 years ago on my 2014 TH
your 2017 may be different and results may vary
    good luck!
  • You need to go to their web page for all the videos on how to install. If you google how to "install ready brute elite" you will get dozens of videos by individuals who did their own install. I did same and installed same model in about 8 hours including coffee breaks.
  • I do not have any pictures but have it on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I do like it better then any other that I have had. Easy to hook up and un-hook.
