We are Canadian Snowbirds and presently have a 36 ft HitchHiker 5W permanently parked in a RV park in TX. We also have a 28 ft Safari Trek which we use for the north-south-north migrations and occasional touring from time to time when the travel bug bites.We are considering selling both the HitchHiker and Trek and purchasing a larger (used) Class A Gas to replace both. Preliminary Internet research has determined that a 36-38 ft model, 2007 -2010, on a Workhorse chassis will probably meet our preferences and budget. We want a coach from a manufacturer still in production as the Trek has taught us about the problems obtaining coach specific parts for an "orphan" coach. e.g. a $750 headlight.An example of a floorplan and spec we have found that looks like it will meet our requirements is a Pace Arrow 37c. It has 3 slides, (2 will be OK) an enclosed bathroom, 60 x 80 queen bed and good sized galley.We would appreciate recommendations for similar or better quality coaches with a good reliability history.Thanks

We love our Newmar Mountainaire and it is gas on a Ford chassis.

I would recommend a Newmar first and probably a winnebago second. Not sure when work horse got out of the business but you may well be end up with a Ford chassis which is also very good.

Try looking at Fleetwood 35E, good C/S support, very sought after by RVers, bath and a half, most have w/d, reliable V10 engine with a "parts everywhere" Ford chassis.

We like the Workhorse chassis for a number of reasons, the Allison 6 spd trans being a major consideration. Our research so far shows every model we have looked at offered the Workhorse as an upgrade option when the Ford is also offered. The longer (heavier)coaches usually offer only the Workhorse, indicating superior pulling power to the Ford.Newmar Gas Mountainaire would be a definite consideration if they offered a model less than 39 ft and were not sold/selling for 50% more than we have budgeted. Also they offer only walk through baths which we dislike.Gas Winnebagos, for some reason, offer only "RV queen" beds, too short for tall husband.More recommendations welcomedThanks

Ford is the chassis builder for gas MH today. Ford builds different grades of chassis up to 26,000 lb with 22.5 wheels and 362 HP, 5 speed trans w/tow haul trans which make for a very smooth ride. Workhorse is out of production. I have a 38' Newmar and it is an excellent coach. They will build them to your interest.

I can't find any reference in the brochures for 2007/2008 Itasca Suncruiser or Sunrise & Winnebago Adventurer or Voyage regarding Dual Pane Windows but have been told they are standard.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks. We assume you have the 35L Model as that is the only one in the brochure with the King Bed option

We like the layout but would much prefer the standard queen bed and slighly larger wardrobe. As the 80" long King Bed fits would seem to be reasonable that the Queen platform could be extended 5" and a full queen mattress fitted.

This floorplan is available in 2 Winnebago and 2 Itasca models 2007 & 2008

Southwind 37C is same floorplan its Identical to the Pace Arrow only difference is the Nose and tail fiberglass cones

22000 miles 2006 south wind,37 c ,3 slides, washer/dryer for sale at Sierra College auto fair. 54000.00 or best offer. was on a rv lot last month foe the price of 65000.

We have a 2008 Itasca Sunrise (made by Winnebago) and it has a king bed. It is a great rig and has great support from Winnebago.
