I agree with previous comments. Common problem with the high voltage board it seems and it likely is your situation too. I replaced mine earlier this year. Easy job once you have access to the rear panel where the board is located. You can purchase the replacement online from one of the many retailers that should be able to provide the part in the $100-$150 range. Here is a quick video on how it's done.Replacing the High Voltage Board
  • My control board was $129. Mail order. Local price was about $179. But, if you NEED it fixed NOW get it local. Doug

  • IF I had to take a shot and buy one part before calling a repair guy, I would take "dougrainer's" advice.
  • If you can push the touch pad and the LED indicator lights all come on and go off when you release a button, odds are it is the rear Main control board. I just had a similar problem last week on my 8 year old Maytag/Whirlpool home refer side by side. There are only 2 parts, the front control touch pad and the rear control board. Doug
  • I got the touch pad control It will blink when I touch it but when I let go it won’t come on. Manual says push an hold for 3 seconds and it should be on
  • If you are saying the lights are on but not cooling check the start run capacitor . Whirlpool got a batch of bad ones some years ago and they last 6/8 years . I am on my 2nd replacement. Easy fix, unplug and plug in a new set just over $10. Color code, so you can go wrong.
  • The light goes off when you let go?
    What exactly does that mean?
    Punctuation?
