Removing old decals on a motor home

If they are just vinyl decals, you should be able to heat them up with a heat gun and gently peel them off. If that doesent work the Vinyl sigh industry sells special spray on liquids that help with the removal as well as attachments for a 4.5 " grinder that will help remove the stickers.

If on glass, use a razor blade to scrape off.

3M makes a wheel that will buff them off. Just watch the speed and keep it moving. Took my 20 yrs+ decals off. Only problem was the ghost stripes left.

If you use the heat method, use a hair drier rather than the commercial type of heat gun which can damage the fiberglass panels. You just need enough heat to soften the glue.

This is what I did. I used an Eraser Wheel. Again, don't go to fast or you will leave a burn mark.
My decals where pretty much burnt on, the goop didn't work nor did the heat gun.

I started out with the heat gun, then went down to a hair dryer. The problem I had was, it just left a lot of glue behind which was a bigger job to get off using Goo-Gone. What I wound up doing was using one of those razor blade type scrappers and got under the decal, and very slowly, and with very small scrapes you can get a lot more off. Just becarefull not in a big hurry.
