The Onan I have is microlite 4000. Previous owner replaced the carburettor, but in process,he pinch the wire going to fuel shut off solenoid, That fried the computer. I bypassed the wire and worked fine for a while, but now, the fuel gauge sensor is messing up and gen will run for a min. The tank is full. When run, does not produce any electricity - could be computer related too. I am just tied of fixing this piece of junk and Onan is way too expensive to replace. The Ryobi, that I have, is pull start and will take too much "hassle" to convert to electric start. Just do not like computer controlled generator.
