Had to get my nephew to help on my 2000 36G Journey. Was aggravating but not that big of a job. It was heavy and would not have been able to do it by myself.

I believe you meant 350 C7 Cat engine. You probably have the Freight liner chassis and the air filter is on the driver side next to the rear cap. I have changed the filter on mine about four times since I bought the coach in 2003 and you release the two clamps holding the air cleaner, loosen up the clamps on both ends of the air filter. That is the hardest part breaking the rubber hose away from the filter. But other then that it is fairly easy once you get the trick as to how it is done.

You can order the filter through the internet. I found out that my Caterpillar engine runs much better with Racor air filters. It has all kinds of power with the Racor.

It is replaceable with some effort. A second set of hands makes the job much easier. You will have to undo the clamps at the inlet and outlet of the filter housing and then remove the main hanger clamps for the unit. It's a tight fit to get it out past the exhaust pipe.

Years ago we had M & B Enterprises in Yuma AZ install a K&N cleanable air filter and it was well worth it. The canister is much smaller and therefore easier to get out of the coach to service the filter. Here's a link to their site. M&B RV Products

You do not state year model. There were a few models years ago that required you cut an access hole in the rear storage compartment to get access to the Clamps to R&R the air filter. POOR design by Winnebago. Is that the reason you ask? Because you cannot figure out how to get it removed? Doug

Air filters (assuming you are talking about the engine air filter) was speced and installed by the chassis maker-- assume Freightliner for your coach. So, they can give you the part number.

Yes, the coach builder can make replacing it easy or difficult based on how they built the "house" around it.
