we have the Samsung RF18. We did not add batteries or change out our inverter when we added the Samsung. We still use our 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter with 4 6 volt golf cart batteries that we use for the rest of the coach. We have dry camped for up to 2 weeks at a time. We also have an auto gen start that we set to run whenever the batteries need to be charged. No problems so far, knock on wood.
This is the latch I installed and it has worked flawlessly.
