Reyo, Via

Why did Winnebago discontinue the Reyo and Via?
  • Way overpriced “Class A”, probably sales could not justify keeping the model. If the models were making financial numbers they would still have them.
  • They had good reviews and owners seemed to like them but if I were to guess it was cost to produce vs competitors newer small Class A's. The ACE came out about the time of the VIA ending and as we can see, every manufacturer followed suit quickly with their own Small Class A's. I have to guess these newer class A's were much cheaper to produce and so cheaper to buy and appealed to a much wider market that prior was looking at Class C's or very expensive B's. Really niche RV's don't last long in a competitive industry.
  • Winnebago discontinued it when the new Mercedes chassis came out. They could no longer do a class a on the new Mercedes chassis.
