That is exactly right. The huge downside to this is that every time you use your roadside service it counts as a claim against your insurance, which may affect your future vehicle insurance rates.
You are better off paying the extra to CoachNet or GS and keeping it away from your vehicle insurance carrier.

Sounds about right for what most everyone really needs and for insuring you and your spouse for whatever vehicle you might be driving.
Maybe not for a semi-tractor and trailer, but at least for an RV and car types.

I just renewed my coach net in December it was $129.00 I don't know where all the different prices come from either.We were paying Good Sam $219.00 for platinum plus basically the same coverage.Except coach net said they would tow if someone cut your tires Not the case with Good sam.

Am I missing something here? I dropped Good Sam last year because their service has been reduced and went to Coach net----but I paid $249 for a year. Where is this $100 or is it for some cut rate plan?

I have used Coachnet for my 36'Diesel for 14 years. Have used it many times for the RV and my cars. The only way to go.They understand big RVs and will send the right size tow truck if needed. Have used other services in the past and none as good in my opinion !!

Idk I've had it for years. Last year or so when I was reading on the forum how much they were charging I went on line to my account and renewed for six years for $446.
Back when I signed up they wanted all our names and sent us all cards. My older boy lives in VT. and he used it up there. I'm gonna call when I get some time and make shure what I have.

The last time I wanted to renew Coachnet wanted way too much money. I called and they told me that I was "grandfathered" and they could sell me a renewal for around $100 but it would only cover the coach.

Have had Coachnet for years. Helped me out many times. Never a problem.

CoachNet has the best reputation, by far and can't imagine them, rejecting your location for service and for leaving you without.
Is there something in the fine print, about that?

The common limit for winching out among the ERS companies is 100' from a maintained road. A common tow truck cable length is 125', so the 100' max allows for hook up and truck positioning while keeping the truck in a safe location. I've done truck recoveries that required over 1000' of cable and/or chains to keep the tow truck on solid ground, but you can bet no ERS policy would ever cover them.

In reference to an earlier post regarding being stuck for a police ordered towing bill by GS, Coach-Net says this about that situation:

"All Emergency Roadside Assistance services must be arranged by Coach-Net. There is no reimbursement for service
which you contract for yourself, unless a law enforcement agency takes control of the situation." (emphasis added)
