Rust on Wiper Arms

I have been working on rust issues on my Winnebago recently. Mainly on the storage compartment doors. My wiper arms are rather rusty also. I have had many cars over the past 50 years but I don't believe I have ever had one that the wiper arms got rusty. I don't understand why Winnebago has such a problem with rust. My question is - are the wiper arms a Winnebago item, or a Ford item. If I want to replace them, who do I go to? Thanks.
  • Pretty sure they would be a Winnebago part. Ford supplies the chassis, drive train and steering wheel. Winnebago adds everything on top of that. Mine are pretty rusty too, older Bounder. Think I'll just pull them off and spray them. I took off the headlight frames and sprayed them because they were rusty.
  • Same rusty arms on my Monaco. Took them off, treated with naval jelly to kill the rust and painted several years ago. Will need a bit of touchup before long.

BTW, to get mine off, I held a small piece of 2x4 lumber between the arm and the fiberglass body and used a claw hammer to pry them off the posts.
