Was working with Safe-T-Plus recently and mentioned this video. I was told they are aware of it, will want to use it, and are talking with RV owner to get details. 75MPH. Anyway, get your safetplus.
I still do not understand how a safe-t-plus contraption would help in this situation.
You don't need to hold the steering wheel straight----------you need to TURN it to the right (with LF tire blowing).
When I had a LF tire blow, the steering wheel did NOT jerk to the left-----------although the MH moved to the left. The driver must quickly counter steer. A contraption to keep your steering pointed straight ahead would not be an aid.
People who have not driven in snow or ice or wet dirt,...in a broadslide attitude, such as you see on TV (they call it drifting) do not have the sense for "countering" with the steering wheel. If you practice it long enough, you will acquire a "sixth sense" which immediately tells you to turn the steering wheel, and work the throttle, such that the vehicle will follow a radius, OR STRAIGHT LINE.
You mean there are drivers out there that don't know that????? ;)
So they buy some mechanical contraption instead.
