x2 on the Old Cotton Gin. It's a set of lots in the middle of a VERY small town, with about 50/50 transients and seasonal/workers.
BUT, if you have the time, sit down and chat with the owner. She's a fascinating lady with a very interesting life history! - 2dogtravellinExplorer IIA good app/website for finding places to stay is Allstays. We've found a number of good places on the fly with the phone app and I using it on my computer for planning out trips.

- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerIn Holbrook AZ, I found "OK RV Park"exit 286. No frills park just for the night gets fair reviews.
Then we're going to stay at Tucumcari NM at the KOA. Best one in the area.
In Amarillo we like Oasis RV Park.
In Wichita Falls TX, we stay at Coyote Ranch off 287.
In Dallas we like either The Vineyards at Grapevine Lake or Hickory Creek Corps of Engineers Park in Lake Lewisville.
Outside Fort Worth near Weatherford TX is Oak Creek RV Park off I-20.
Check all of them out on www.rvparkreviews.com
have a safe trip! - i_CorkyExplorerIn Lewisville, TX, in the NW Dallas area, exit Hwy 407 off IH 35E, southbound, the city of Lewisville has a full hook up park, on the lake that is quiet & peaceful. The amazing part is for seniors it cost $8 per night. You have to leave after 3 weeks. It might be a good place to stay during your visit!
- BB_TXNomadFor unfamiliar areas I always look at a map to where i expect to be come time to stop and then check rvparkreviews.com for parks with good ratings. And call ahead for availability.
In Amarillo we always stay at Ft Amarillo RV park on the western edge of Amarillo. Easy access to I-40, long pull thrus, and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. - Old-BiscuitExplorer III
