RV Toilete paper
How many of you are using anything other than "RV" toilet paper. I'm sick of paying $5.00 for the RV stuff that has lousy tear strength and fall apart in your hands. I think we're being ripped off.

Yes, it IS a holding tank! NO, it is NOT a septic tank. Therefore, putting Rid-X or any other septic tank "enzyme treatment" in it will do no good at all!
Enzyme treatments are great if the trailer sits for months between dumps. My trailer toilet is used on occasion between camping trips. When it's sitting is the only time I'll put the enzymes in.
Why leave it without dumping? Are you leaving it someplace as a summer home? I don't think I have ever seen a campground with out a dump station. If I am dry camping not in a campground there are places to dump.

Also, I think another reason for using toilet tissue that breaks down is for coaches that have a macerator.

They say (I've never tried it), put a sheet of the tissue that you want to use in a glass of water, it if starts to disintegrate, it's OK for your system.
Use regular TP, you'll be fine.

I was bored one night and tried this. We generally use Scott paper at home and had sone rv paper (forget which brand). The Scott disappeared much faster than the more expensive rv paper and it is much cheaper.
