#1 can you clarify are you saying no power when you are on generator, or inverter -if you have one-, or either way?
#2 could be low voltage, or maybe a sticky bearing. No way to diagnose without hands on testing. Are you sure it is the motor coming slowly up to speed, or could it be different components starting in stages? In our coach the fan starts first on the heat pumps and then a few seconds later the compressor starts. I do not know if this is a function of the Dometic unit or if it's the energy management system (separately installed option on ours) that provides that feature.
