AFAIK, The King Relay is an rv roof mounted sat antenna to be with with the month to month pay-as-you-go 'Tailgater' packages. It will work fine as long as your out in the open, like a parking lot or field campsite.
I have the automatic signal finder portable model which is a more useful option because it's much easier to move the antenna around a wooded campsite than to move the rv in order to get reception.
People that have a roof model often carry a portable as well. But people that buy the portable, usually only have the portable.
The recvr's used with the tailgater packages are the 211 models.
For a one time fee of $40 or so, they offer you the DVR option. You need to add a hard drive.
Be advised if you plan to use the system off grid, you will need a small 12v plug in 100-150watt ( I use a Samlex pst-15s pure sine wave inverter) to operate the recvr.
When you change tv channels, the sat dish spins (auto seeks) using 12v power. If you are not plugged in to shore power, sometimes it will set off your low voltage alarm on inverters while switching channels because it draws power from your house battery along with your lights, water pump, etc .
I run a separate agm 12v battery just to power the inverter for the recvr.(that way the alarm never squeals, its very loud )
The 211 recvr's draw only about 22 watts either using it or in standby mode, plenty of usable power to include a tv to a small inverter.
