I helped a buddy of mine install a blue ox base plate on his 2011 Honda CRV it took us about 7 hrs. and you must read the instructions as you are doing it. After that experience when it came to doing my Equinox I paid to have it done. Money well spent. If you do it yourself, when you wire the car for turn signals and brake lights make sure you put diodes in those lines.
