Trying to determine where is the best place(s) to list a MH for sale? After 10 years of fulltiming we are going back to a S&B. I"m not a fan of Creg's list but other than ebay have no idea where to post.
As always - THANKS!!
Tis another fine day to serve in and for the glory of the Corps. Every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.

We bought our MH after seeing an ad in our local weekly newspaper. It was only 30 miles away. The sellers were the original owners, having to give up the life because of medical complications. At 8 years old, it had only done 12,800 miles. We've put another 5000 on it in 3 seasons.

Unfortunately, it's becoming apparent that we can't afford the lifestyle on old folks' income and it will be even worse if WA State puts another 11 cents on the gas tax. I think it will be on the market in May, after I've had some decent weather to get out and clean the winter side effects off.

Their asking price was quite a bit below KBB and the owner said they'd based it on how much they still owed on the home equity loan they'd used to buy it. We took out an HEL to buy it from them. I haven't done the research in the blue and yellow books yet, so haven't set our asking price.

We'll probably start out using the local paper and see how it goes. There are usually two or three RVs in the classifieds each week.

Going to list with RVT.com and see what kind of response and maybe RVTrader.

Tried to sell a unit on RVT and literally got 3 calls from window shoppers in 3 months. All dead ends. Rvtrader is better. Craigs isn't bad if you can weed scammers but it's going to reach a smaller geographic market. Ebay seems to be a way to pay a lot of fees.

We're going to be in the same boat coming up in the fall. I don't want to deal with 'people' so I thought I would put our coach on consignment at PPL Motorhomes in Houston or New Braunfels in TX.

We have verbally agreed on ordering a new coach and the funds will change hands on Monday or Tuesday to start the building process. It will take 7-8 months to complete.

So, we have a little time to enjoy our our current coach until then as we have several summer trips lined up.

What did you end up with?

Mike, we ordered a 2015 Prevost Liberty Coach, 4 slide, 1 1/2 bath. I like the fact that Liberty Coach uses one holding tank (189 gal) and Lithium batteries. Ours will use 3 lithium batteries as a four slide coach requires (those babies are $7K each) that will last 10+ years. It will have four inverters with 4 roof airs. We can use the air going down the road without the genny running.

I've had my MH on RVTrade for 2 months. 1 call for info from potential buyer. Six calls from agents who have buyers and want to charge me a fee. Next step, taking unit to CW

Well respected RV full-timer club. I'm surprised you being on the road for 10 years don't know about it!! :W

You don't have to join their club to use the classified section. Just sign up for the forum to be able to post in the classified section.

I have sold many of items on that classified AND what is REAL NICE is you have REAL SERIOUS RV PEOPLE calling you about what you have for sale. It is the ONLY place I will sell my RV items.

I just sold my Toad in record time off their classified.
And BTW for those 'looking' to buy it is the best place to find a well taken care of toad all ready set up for towing and all other things RV'ing from serious fellow RV'ers!

Go to website.

Scroll down to RV Marketplace.

Good Luck you will sell it fast if you list it there!

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

I sold 2 MH using RVTrader. Sold both to people over 600 miles from my hometown. Give a accurate description and have good pictures onhand. I always use the 14 day listing for $14.95. I then have about 30 pictures available so I can email them to prospective buyers. Been very satisfied with RVTrader.

I bought and sold three motor homes over the years very quickly on Craigslist successfully, and we just bought our latest motor home on RV trader. Both are good.

I just added a picture of the "new" Kountry Star that I found on RV Trader to my signature.

sold Mom and Dad's via an ad on RVtrader.com. Yeah, it cost about $75, but that is nothing when you consider the sale price. got them exposure to lots of folks much further away than would have seen it advertising otherwise. Ad was easy to set up and load pics too.
