I have a 2009 Coachmen Mirada 33' Class A unit. It has a swing out sewer hose storage tube under it. I'm sure the purpose is to allow you to have your hose hooked up at the campsite while being able to keep the sewer/water access door closed. Problem is, if you buy a nice rhino hose (or whatever brand) with fittings already attached, then you can't slide the hose in the storage tube since the fittings are too big. I'm looking for recommendations as to what hose/fittings I should be looking for. I'm guessing I have to find something along the lines of a hose with no pre-attached ends and then buy ends separate? I know, sounds like a dumb question.....but looking for the voice of experience.

I have looked at Rhino hoses. I picked the fittings of one that someone had thrown in the garbage can a couple of years ago. Not totally impressed so far. So I will stick with my inexpensive sewer setup Tote for the fittings two storage tubes for the hoses. Has worked well for several years with no leaks.

I'm partial to keeping my RhinoFlex!! I'd see if I could replace the swing storage tube with a 5" square vinyl fence post for Home Depot. Something along this line:This is what nremtp143 did on his rig.

I just connect the ends on mine and throw them in a garbage bag and into the storage area. Faster, easier and less hassle.

Our Rhino hose is more or less permanently attached the way you want to. I just removed the Rhino fitting from the "top" end of the hose, shoved it into the tube from the bottom, and then replaced the fitting. I then put a cap on the "bottom" end to hold the hose in during travel. Works like a charm. Depending on the length of your tube, you'll probably have to shorten your Rhino hose so it will fit completely into the tube.al

I have the same issue with my Dutchstar. I purchased the blue connectors (can't remember the brand name) that just push together. For the one attached to the sewage hose I used the rescue tape which basically bond to itself - no issues with leaks. The part that attaches to the sewer hose easily fits inside the tube and the other end screws into the campground connection (4 different sizes). I've used this for over a year and have not had any issues.

The orange expandable tubes I purchased at Camping World are great. They have push on fittings for connection to motorhome or to join another extension. An 8 ft open tube compresses to around two feet. These numbers are not exact but I think close. It has really worked well for me.

You will need the Blue line system. Get the one with the orange hose it collapses like a accordion. Or the actual blue hose. Been using these for over 10 years. Had the same problem trying to store in a tube, this solved it.

You still have to find a place to put the connectors when you store the hose in the tube. The plastic fencepost idea is great and I think I will see about doing something like that on our coach. Otherwise, a garbage bag or plastic tote is so much cleaner, easier and quicker.

2X on the fence post suggestion. I've done it on all my motorhomes, works great. Just look underneath and around, to get the length you need for your hose and use the HD large plastic ties to secure the post to the available coach frame work. Glue a cap to one end drill a drain hole at that end and install a removable cap at the working end. Most if not all connectors will fit inside the post mine has a clear 45 on the end and easily fits.
