side fiberglass and thinking zep

I'm sure this has been covered before but my concern is yellowing.
And now after reading guys used this I'm wondering
If the bit of yellow on my used 1992 Itasca is floor wax
I got it off yellow tinge one side with a buffer couple years ago. But I thinking on trying treat it like floor wax remover and see if its Easyer way. Anyone try 4 coats of zep thinking of trying it after it's all stripped of oxidation.

I've read in older posts that others used RMP#3. Is Zeps the same thing and which product is it? Both Lowes and Home Depot sell 2-4 different Zep products.
Years ago they used to sell Red Max Pro (RMP) that nane was changed to Zeps which is the same product.

  • I re coat every year ,if you "lose it" it has to be done over ,I found on the most exposed sun side (front cap) I do it spring and fall .
Do not let anything with ammonia near it.

  • I used mop and glo on a previous mh. Did a great job of bring back a shine. It's remember you still need to then use UV protection to it and it may need to be touched up in a year or two.

Are you suggesting he cover is walls with ceramic tile? :B

  • ZEP is NOT a floor wax. It is an acrylic floor finish. ZEP makes a stripper to remove the finish.
  • UV from the sun will attack fiberglass gel coat over time. Unless you store it indoors, eventually whatever component is added to the material to protect it from UV will get 'burned away'. Little recourse other than paint or new gel coat. Even if you polish the damaged surface away, what's left behind will quickly look the same without some sort of fresh covering.
