Slide Rollers
We are giving serious consideration to removing the carpet, or at least most of it, in our rv and installing something else. Perhaps Allure or something similar. My question is that upon looking at the carpet for removal the large slide has no rollers under it but rather four plastic gliders attached to the floor near the outer wall. I wondered if removing the carpet, which appears to act as a bit of a cushion for the slide as it nears the coach center upon closing it, would have a negative effect or damage the new flooring if we do this. I would have thought there is a roller of some type under the inner edge of the slide floor, but there is not. Just the 4 glider pads and the heavy plastic or whatever on the slide bottom. Looking for some input from others who have done similar projects.
