I'm also interested in alure or something like it and I think people have had issues with it being scratched as the slide comes in. My 2000 Coachmen has a raised slide and 4 rollers. From watching my slide come in what it seems like is that as the slide is about 1/2 way in, the leading edge starts to drop slightly until the top of the slide touches the outside of the rig and the bottom then sucks in tight and raises the front edge of the slide floor off of the main floor.
I have read threads where people had scratching of the flooring and my guess is that as I described and as you are seeing, the leading edge of the slide rubs the floor as it comes in. It's not rubbing real hard but right now it's just hitting the carpet and not doing any damage. The carpet can tolerate it but I can see it scratching wood or vinyl.
So far my idea is to place a long felt pad under the leading edge just before it begins to touch the main floor. Another issue that this brings up to me since I'm new to fifth wheels is that when using the rig with the slide in there is no support under the inner edge of the slide. I use four door stop type wedges under it when it's in just in case I step on the edge of the slide floor.
From what I can feel with my fingers around the rollers it seems as though luckily they didn't put the rollers on top of the carpet. I'm going to get and inspection camera thingy or flashlight and mirror to try and look under there before tearing it out.
My whole slide floor is wrapped inside and out with a heavy black plastic sheeting so it doesn't seem compatible with laying wood of vinyl on it. I think it would be too spongy. I may just carpet the slide floor again and do vinyl on the main floor.
