What brand of jacks do you have? What series or model? Do you have power to your control board?
  • I'm with Dale, the world is full of clicking and clacking relays that won't actually pass any current.
  • Your statement "12 volts to the coil and the contacts close so there is also 12v to the pump" might not be correct or I'm misreading it. Could be the contacts have failed and are open. Can you check for power directly at the pump? Then again could be something as simple as the pump has gone to pump heaven after the magic smoke escaped.
  • Had a similar problem in April. Mine turned out to be a loose positive connection on the pump itself. Didn't figure it out until I had somebody push the slide button in the coach while I was trouble shooting and saw a big spark. Tightened the connection and all is good. Guess it loosened up over the last 18 months or so.
  • Maybe you should have bought a pop up. Lol

I'm with this guy Jack at the campground and just want to elaborate on the problem and what troubleshooting we have already done in his unit.

When attempting to open or close glides or leveling jacks I measured voltage across the relay (which you can hear clicking). There is 12 volts to the coil and the contacts close so there is also 12v to the pump. Pump does not turn on though. We checked all the grounds in the area to the ground stud ad all appear to be intact. I do not see where the pump ground is attach so I'm assuming its done internal to the pump. Our initial thoughts are since the pump is getting voltage but not turning on it must be a bad pump, but not knowing the electrical circuit maybe there is another contact in the ground path that is preventing the pump from turning on. One more bit of information is this appears to be an intermittent problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.
