Slides won't extend

This is for the MH in my Sig. We have only extended them maybe 5 times so far. Got home from the dealer after they did the base plate install and seems like a breaker is tripped.
Salesman told me to check ignition fuses in front DS compartment. I changed out 4 perfectly good fuses, still nothing.
Any of you Tiffin folks have any possible cures for me before I have to take it to a dealer?
I have e-mailed Tiffin but haven't heard back from them.
Thanks
Rick
  • And we're glad to have you as a new member over at TRVN.

(But that link won't work for those not-signed-in either ;) )
  • Thanks I didn't know the link URL was a members only link.
Anyone can view the thread at THIS LINK for more information as to the problem. It's listed under the electrical section with my user name as the author.
Thanks for letting me know, the link worked for me when I tested it, but again I was a member of that forum :W
  • FYI, the clicky will go directly to the thread at TRVN only for registered members who are logged in there.

Congrats on your new coach. Apparently yours is one of the new "self-healing" Tiffins. ;)

    Enjoy "roughing it smoothly".
  • If NONE of the Slides operate, then in the LF compartment in front of the LF tire is a LCI slide control module. THAT module is the control for supplying 12 volt power to the slides(regardless if a LCI or HWH Hydraulic slide). It is parking brake and Ignition key activated. Ignition Key ON and the parking brake set to operate. Tiffin also has a recall for certain models of the 2015 that adds an additional relay to help KILL that module to prevent accidental operation. IF your unit was one of those, you would have received a recall letter already from Tiffin. If this happens again, verify that the Parking Brake red dash indicator is indeed ON. If it is not, then the slides will not operate as well as the HWH leveling jacks. Doug
  • Thanks guys
I also posted THIS THREAD over on the Tiffin forum. I got it corrected about a half hour ago just by repositioning the coach :H
  • I had that problem a couple of times and there is a circuit breaker located on the passenger side on the compartment next to the batteries. On mine it is a breaker about two inches in length and it has a little red handle that pops out. Just push it back to reset and you should be OK. Some have to red buttons, not sure which type you have, but it is not a fuse.
  • My slides will not go out if the parking brake on the RV is not set!
  • On ours i ocasionally had to go under an just move wire connection on limiter switch. Also guess the locks havent been locked .
  • Are there any interlocks that are preventing them from working, like ignition, seat not in proper position, etc? Are the batteries fully charged?
