Southco did change the design of the hook part so if the latch is fairly old, the new hook won't fit.
I disagree as I just a week ago changed one in a 1996 Prevost convertion and the hook part I never changed and it worked fine
If I wasn't so lazy, I'd take pictures of old style vs new
whats old? like I said I just changed a 1996 one and it was the same as brand new one. r u talking like old old
Here is a pix. The newer latch is on top, the old style on the bottom. The hook section is the same however you have to move the female part back to make the door shut fully. The screw holes are spaced different also. Bought them a couple of years ago and yes they are SouthCo. - dons2346Explorer

- midnightsadieExplorer III,VE had them break too. think there must have been a batch of bad ones.
- justlouExplorerIf it's just the hook side that you need, I got 25 of them from Monaco. It took some questioning and talking to a couple of people in the parts dept. Finally, sent them a picture of what I needed and they found them. I think I paid 50 cents each.
