Spare Tire Cover... Any good ones out there?

I just remounted my spare tire on the back of my Class C and oticed the cover is starting to split from age, sun, etc... It was just a cream colored one without any symbols, etc.

Figure it is time to replace it but would like to find a replacement that is something other than just plain.

Thought maybe some folks could suggest a good replacement for me and suggest where it could be purchased. I think my RV place just has plain covers.

Any great ones out there you could suggest and a good place to check them out and/or buy them? :)
  • You might want to try this one that I picked up on Amazon. Hopefully it sends a message to all the tailgating jerks. :E

  • You can get them with most any thing you want on them. But none seem to hold up long. When we get a new one we use it when using the motorhome. When parked we put the old one back on until it just has nothing left to cover with then start using the newer one. And buy another new one. Do the same with tire covers. They all seem to last about 3 years for us but we have lots of sun.

Just go to Amazon and search "Spare tire cover RV"

This one was $17 but there are dozens of choices. :C
  • I don't advocate spare tires on the rear wall, but if you must, the ones made of metal, and some even a plastic material will last the longest. You might get a year out of the fabric/vinyl options.
  • They last about 3 years unless you remove it. Then they will
    crack to h#$$.

  • Mine lasted for four years but then when removing it and trying to put it back on it started splitting where I had finger pressure on it trying to stretch it.
Thanks for the suggestions. Will try Amazon and JCWhitney.

Never used them but you can design your own.
