Spongy breaks

When the BRAKES BREAK they won't work.
Sorry could not help myself.

When my spongy BREAKS, I just get a new spongy...they're cheap. However, if I have spongy BRAKES, I would have BRAKES bled and new fluid put in. ;)

After sitting for a period, the system will relaxe, calipers will settle, rust will form on the rotors and drums, after applying the brakes a few times it all clears up, the rust is be cleaned off the surfaces and every thing returns to normal. More common in humid cliamates, all normal.

Yep....sounds like you probably had a little air or condensation in the line from sitting so long. Good idea to have the lines bled/flushed and then new fluid added.

22,500 pound Ford V 10 bought new and I have a big Ford dealer near by when I get home in the spring . Thanks Again for all your help.

My Class-C with Ford E450 chassis has the Hydro-Boost brake system. This ties in with the power steering pump. Check your fluid level for the power steering.

Seems that the OP is driving a Class A coach and in which case, it's doubtful the the brake assist is vacuum and most likely uses a hydro-booster, which doubles as the hydraulic power steering assist.
The HB was developed by Bendix and has been around, since 1973.

Ford recommends changing the brake fluid and lubing the calipers every two years.

There's a couple of Camping World places in MB that can do BRAKES, as well as many other automotive and truck service centers, which will cost you from $150 - $200. Since you might have just had some air in them, that has bled out already, I probably wouldn't be concerned and as long as the master cylinder was full and nothing leaking anywhere. Having said that, it's good idea to change the fluid every two or three years, anyway, as the fluid tends to collect moister and thereby lowering the boiling point.
