- the_silverbackExplorerX3 on steer safe. easy to install yourself. I feel it helped the steering on my MH. I would recommend it.
- topflite51ExplorerI have Steer Safe on our rig, it was easy to install. It is supposed to help with a front blow out (I don't know if it does or not and hope I never find out). Virtually any steering stabilizer will help with control in wind, I know this one does, so I'm happy with it.
- eXodusRVExplorerI've got the Safe-T-Plus, it is not helping at all, while towing a 18ft horse trailer, We've got way to less weight on the front axle.
Without towing it is okay.
Installing a thicker sway bar helped so much more. It's only about $200 and 8 screws. Installed in less then half an hour without any special tools.
1 1/2 instead of the original 1 1/4 - rondebExplorerHenderson's Line-up in Oregon. http://www.supersteerparts.com/ We have installed their Safe-T-Plus on 2 of our RV's Great company and great product.

I was wanting to know how many have steering stabilizers and justify cost of adding. Which brand is the best.
We have a SteerSafe. I justify the cost just like I justify buying insurance! I see the SteerSafe as my insurance policy against losing control form a front tire blow out. I have not had one and hope to never but I am hoping that the SteerSafe will do its job!
As for the best, you will get many opinions. My views on this are strictly based on what I have. - blazenpmExplorerI have a "Safety Plus" steering stabilizer on my 1989 Bounder. You need to find an experienced alignment center that has worked with and installed class A motorhome steering stabilizers. They can adjust the alignment and get the stabilizer adjusted to the exact 1/16th of an inch. which can be all the difference in the success of the function of the stabilizer. Also, you need to revisit the reason why you want a stabilizer. The above qualified alignment shop can or might suggest a rear trac bar or panhard bar if so indicated. This has been my experience. Yours might be much different.
- ncrowleyExplorer IIWe installed a True Center from Blue Ox about a month ago. We installed it in case of front tire blowout and when driving in windy conditions. I am glad to say we have not had to test either condition. I do not see much difference in driving except that the wheel goes back to center much easier.
- maanpaontheroadExplorerInstalled Safe T Plus within the first month of purchasing our rig. Steering was fine but wanted some insurance in case of a blow out. Have not had a blow out happy to say, but it also make a full day of driving more relaxing.

I installed a Roadmaster Steering stabilizer. I feel it made a big difference in the ease of steering. It helps return the steering to center without as much or no input from the driver.
Adequate caster on the front wheels does the same thing. - 427435Explorer

I got my MH aligned with 4-1/2 degrees of caster. That eliminated the need for a stabilizer.
I don't/didn't need it I just got it for a little insurance in case of a front tire blow out and the Tru Center is adjustable on the fly for road crown and windy conditions.
I had a blow-out on the front last fall. Between the worm gear steering box and the power steering, there was no jerk on the steering wheel. I did have to immediately turn the steering wheel to stabilize things, BUT there was NO turning of the steering wheel caused by the blow-out.
