After 6 years of RV'ing full time, every piece of non durable tableware/cookware/stemware I've previously owned has met it's unfortunate demise. My rule, . . . if it can't survive a 3 foot drop to solid concrete without damage, I leave it at home.

So you don't keep any good stuff in your house either? None of that will survive that same 3 foot drop! All my dinnerware is real china. I am home in my RV and want the same comforts I would have in a house.
Did you even read my post? Is English a second language? (tongue in cheek) Yes, I keep ALL my good cookware/tabletop stuff at home. My RV doesn't have All the same comforts of home but it does have some of them. That's why I have it.
In response to the OP's statement: "New to motor home arena. Wondering if there is any advice on storing nice dinnerware for travel in DP."
Based on my experience(s) I stand by my statement. My rule only applies to MY motor home, not my home. Everyone is free to do as they wish which is hopefully what suits them best.
