In addition to dirt, humidity significantly adds to deposits on the evaporator coil. Said another way, when the coils are WET from condensation, lots sticks to them.
9 years and clean is shocking unless in very dry and clean environment.
yes its been only used in hot sunny days in south ca and a small amount in BC/washington
