Suggestion for entrance step lift for seniors in Class A

It's getting hard for my father to walk stairs, long distances and harder to do rest of the stuff that comes with age.
Are there any practical step lifts or other means of getting it/out from class A?
I seen some on youtube, but most of them take 30 seconds to go up or down. Block regular steps for other family members who have no problem using stair.
I was considering getting Class A with wheelchair lift. But that takes some space inside. Most wheel chair floor plans will have no wall bathroom, diminishing already poor privacy that regular RV provides.

In next 5 years I see my father relying on wheelchair more and more. If I don't get Class A with wheelchair lift now, how expensive and complicated is it to get it installed later?

Thank you.
  • My Dad is 94 and wants to go deer hunting.
I feel for seniors. I am one. Doing some weight training makes it a lot easier for people to make a few stairs. Much cheaper than installing a device. When I get too old to get in the motorhome that will be the sign to stop traveling in one. I do not mean to be insensitive.

When you stop allowing people to get out of the chair by themselves that is when they start needing help to get out of a chair.

These are just a couple, others are out there. Just google RV entry lifts.
PPL Motorhomes even had a couple on their site last time I looked.

I found a bunch too. I just wanted feedback from people who have one or used one or seen one in person.

One option might be a toy hauler with a ramp at the back door. If there's good access to the toy compartment from the rest of the RV it might work out nicely. This does, of course, pretty much eliminate a rear engine motorhome of any description.

    That's good idea. Thank you.

I wounder when manufactures started producing class A toy haulers. Because I will have to buy used for around 50K. And I might be priced out because Class A toy hauler is new floor plan.

Thor started building theirs around 2006.

  • Looks very uncomfortable but thank you for input. In video, you can see guy having hard time to come out by himself. And going back inside even harder.

I was hoping more for some kind of platform lift....
