If on a tighter budget, people with a Nexus are always coming out happy. The Super C NEXUS PHANTOM is priced at $117,000 to $118,000 with huge slide outs, big floorplans, I assume with room to negotiate on the price.

They also offer the Super C Ghost on what looks like a tractor trailer chassis (shown lower on that page) for around $180,000.

I have no idea about the quality of the unit but if you want a good laugh watch the video about the 2016 product and read the captions. They are hiliarious.

Butch50 that's the way I understand it also. I was toid that Nexus has about 50 Terrastars left with the Maxxforce engine platofrm. Then because of EPA standards I am sure they will be moving to something else. From what I have read the Maxxforce engines got a bad rap because of some prior problems(2012 and back). from everything I have read the issue has been resolved in later models. But with that said I am sure the new platform will be using Urea as most others do.

We are about to become Nexus owners also. We ordered a Ghost 36DS which is only a 2 slide. We did this after touring the plant and after taking a Ghost on a demo drive. Good people to work with so far. We did quite a lot of different things and that is the nice thing about Nexus they well work with you on what you want on your coach.

Ours is being worked on as I type this and expect to pick it up either the end of June or the second week in July. They are closed the week of July 4th.

When we were in the order process Dave Middleton, one of the owners came out, and answered questions and discussed how they could do the changes for us that we were requesting.

One thing I wanted and couldn't get was I wanted to switch to a Nova Kool 12VDC compressor fridge. They were willing to put it in till we found out that the Nova Kool was not RVIA approved. It is CSA but not RVIA so I didn't get the Nova Kool. Dave was agreeable to install but it had to be RVIA. So we stayed with the Norcold 12 cu ft standard fridge.

We are looking forward to picking it up.

Actually the Ghost starting price is 180,999. They have a mistake on their web page. It is built on an International Dura Star chassis with air brakes, rear air ride suspension, Cummins with an Allison 3000 auto. It is running 22.5 tires and has a GVWR of 25,999 lbs. Most Ghosts come off the line in the range of 21,000 to 22,000 lbs dry weight. It also has a 10,000# towing capacity.

The Phantom is based on the Tera Star chassis with a Maxforce engine with 19.5 tires and a 19.500# GVWR. This is presently the configuration and I heard rumors that the Maxforce engine is going away. I don't know what it would be replace with. I don't know for sure though.

Well like most things I think it depends on where you want your budget to be. Renegade,Haulmark,Dynamax all good brands. We are going with the Nexus Phantom 35SC as it fits what we need. We toured their plant and like the way they do things. You will always hear some good and bad about any brand. Do your homework, and make a decision that is best for you. Thats about the best recomendationn I could give you.

We are just starting to look at the Nexus Phantom. They have an opposing slide model. They also tow 10k which is important to us.
