Super tech synthetic oil from Walmart

I bought my first jug the other day, but have not opened it. I was a Mobil 1 "snob" for many years, but with all of the certified testing done by SAE and API, I am certain it is good quality oil.

Other than anecdotal evidence, I don't think ANYONE can truly PROVE that one brand of oil is really "better" than another assuming they are test to the same standards.

Stay way from Castrol Syntech.
It formed a hard red varnish in my high performance hot engines.
Castrol sued Mobil ! and won entitling them to label their highr refined Castrol Syntech as Full Synthetic oil. So Mobil ! and all the rest went that route.
Some Mobil1 Euro spec oils are now real Ester based synthetics.
Someone else here, posted a reply a few years ago with info of who was selling full synthetic here in the US Redline is one. there is a difference a in the early commercials in the seventies when the real ester based synthetics came out. You cn't hold the blade of a screwdriver dipped in it between finger and thumb. I hd to replace the gaskets in my Plymouth when I first used it. Ol was so slick and thin and it shrunk some of the gaskets designed to swell in the presence of dino oil.
Service Tech at Mercedes says my Mobil 1 oil they install is now the real deal.
Porsche and some Honda engines use their propritary real synthetic oils and ATF.
On edit Mobil sued Castrol not the other way around
Second Eruo Spec is determinedby Scientists and in the US "Synthetic" and in the US by Business Men and the Court.

Google, 'Who makes Walmart Super Tech Synthetic Oil', or something similar.

Wal Mart Syntech is supplied by different manufacturers by contracts.
Shell was the supplier for some time and Shell has no equipment to manufacture real synthetic oils. Then it was Citgo. they too did not have any equipment to manufacturer true Ester real synthetic oil.
Real synthetics look for Euro Spec real synthetic oils.
For a time mobile One had on the rear of their bottles "100& synthetic oil except for the base carrier oil." or some such and on the front 100% True Synthetic.
Royal Purple and Red Line. Amsoil just buys their "synthetic oil" from whoever and repackges it. They do sell a Euro Spec Synthetic now.

It's not an RV but, I've used it now for about 4-5 years in my '08 Honda GL 1800 Goldwing. The bike has ran just fine with it, no issues, no weirdness anywhere. When I dump it at each oil change, it looks like used oil, just like any other oil. The bike gets the same fuel mileage, it starts the same in cold or warm weather, just like it did with other brands of oil that I've used over the years. So, take this with a grain of salt here, for whatever it's worth.

Ater y initial reply I went looking on the net.
Amazon sells Euro Spec real synthetic Mobil 1 57.00 for two five qt jugs.
Kendall also sells Euro Spec full synthetic.
Pennzoil also seel a Euro Spec full synthetic.
The last two brands and other might also be available, on Amazon, well as others.
I don't believe I have seen them t auto stores around her nor Wal Mart.
They can get it. Only reason they do't most people do not know they are not buying real synthetics and believe what the Businessman advertises.
The prices for Mobil1 by the quart is over ten dollars now by any of the brands other than Wal Mart brand, as best I remember, as I don't usually shop there.
Whole sellers would be glad to sell a case to anyone, if they stock it.
Check the Amazon site for viscosities available. Real Synthetics are thinner than dino based oils so 15w40 might be 5w40 used instead. I'm not recommending anything.
My AG uses 0w40, I think, Euro Spec Mobile 1.

Walmart.com has Mobil 1 listed at $6.13/qt. Amazon.com has Mobil 1 listed at $7.20/qt with free shipping.

Yes I have been using it for the last 80k miles and 12 years. It keeps the engine much cleaner than the regular oil I previously used.

I use it on all 4 or my vehicles, all with over 150K miles and no issues. Sent a oil sample in from the Duramax at 125K and it came back that I still had 75% of the oil life remaining after 10,000 miles. I also use the Fram filters designed for Synthetic oil from Walmart.

Euro Spec vs US dino base.
52.72for 2x5 qt jugs is 5.20 a qt.
I paid over 10.00 qt for Mobil1 10w40 us spec at Wal Mart here.
