Sway bar bushings

I was wondering about replacing the sway bar bushings. I have looked at mine multiple times and have never seen any wear on the originals. They are old but I was wondering if there is no wear on the old ones is there any advantage to changing them out?
  • Actually, if you can see light at the end links and/or off center for the large bushings, replace them. And, go with polyurethane, not rubber.

A sway bar with worn bushings does NOTHING-- it basically along for a free ride, offering zero sway control.
  • Not much unless they rattle. It's probably time to change them and a simple job as there are only 6. They do not affect steering.
