Anyone compared these to a Forest River FR3 25 (actually it's 26'10") they look similar with a larger bath... but seem to be a foot higher and wider?

thor says 188 inch wheelbase in specs but the e-350 does not really match.
the specs actually match better with the F-59 except for the gas tank.
i think all these specs are slightly off or a mishmash of several ford chassis.
The E350 stripped chassis specs show wheelbases of: 138, 158 and 176.
Everywhere you read about the Axis says wheelbase = 188".
So, perhaps the chassis has been stretched?
Adding confusion, found this photo of a sticker in an Axis on a dealer website that seems to indicate the chassis (at least started out?) as a 158" wheelbase (image #72):Thor Axis Incomplete Vehicle Sticker

Just curious, how is a class A built on a van chassis? Does Thor buy with the cab and remove it? Can the E-350 be bought without the cab?

Seems to me they are selling at a premium to the ACE. We got our 29.2 for about 70k with all options except paint. They had a Axis at the dealer but it was too short for us. I would call it a great rig to travel in but once I got there I would need some other accommodations. They target it to the weekender and that's about right. Thor also has a history of putting product on the line before all the bugs are worked out. IMHO

I'm curious if anyone has looked at or bought one of these. It has a nice size to it, and the single slide is good enough for weekend camping, but still trying to attempt to fit in a single parking space.
Of course, the price is right. MPG-wise, I'm not expecting anything more than 12-13, but the price difference between it versus a Winnebago VIA can buy a lot of gasoline as a consolation prize.

They are going for a hair over $72 at MHS near Fort Worth.
The dealer expects the price to stay near that for a while - i.e. several months.

We have had our Axis for a week! Downsized from a large class A. Handles nicely! Have some warranty issues, but once they are fixed we should be happy campers!!
