I believe Goodyear owns Sumitomo.

I did alot of research, I went with the Toyo truck tires. 6 tires for $2050. And that included spin balancing. If you don't balance your tires, it's really not wise. I found mind thru a mobile service for best price. No brick and motor store front to maintain.

After having a sidewall blow out on brand new Firestones on my pickup I wouldn't even put them on a baby buggy.

Where is the best price to buy tires? I saw good internet price but shipping is killing the price.

Using the FMCA plan, I got 6ea Michelin 275/70R/22.5 XZA2 Energy LRJ for $3200 OTD including
balancing all, new stems, and etc. It helped that I sold the 10 year old G-670's on Craigs list for $360.00 the same day and avoided the tire disposal fee. All date codes were 2014.

When it came time to replace ours two years ago, I could not get GY's that were younger than four or five years of the manufacture date. Checked all over the northeast. Camping World in NJ, who are great to work with had them and said they could NOT get any younger tires, and that GY still warranteed them as if made yesterday.

I was not comfortable with that. Not a fan of Michelin. Did a lot of research and ended up with Double Coin tires. Those that bash them, haven't done their research. Industry experts praised their QC at the factory and they're in service on trucks in the U.S. with tremendous respect for their performance.

Went up one load range when we bought them. I have not noticed a rougher ride, and they actually ride smoother than the GY's. They were also priced attractively. Price was NOT an issue for me, but it was a nice bonus that they were more reasonably priced than the GY's which rivered horribly.

About 8,000 on the Double Coin's with no issues.

We put B F Goodrich ST230's on our '04 Country Coach at the recommendation of a tire shop in Denton TX. We have been very happy with the B F Goodrich tires. Ride much better than the original Toyos. B F Goodrich is owned by Michelin and the Goodrich tires are made in the USA.

What is a "brand name tire"??? Aren't all tires a "brand name"? I can't think of any that doesn't have a name. Color me confused!

On my previous coach, I swapped out my GY G670s at 35,000 mile due to severe rivering of the front tires....with A12 Hankooks for almost half of what a new set of Michelins would cost through FMCA.

On my new coach, it came with Michelin XRV. When it comes time to change, it'll be Hankooks.
