Hi guys, Im going back and forth since one month....one days its a class c, the day after its a TT, then back to CC to TT.....FINALLY l've made up my mind, its going to be a Class C.I have my eyes on a sunseeker 3010 2014, 12000 miles for 70000.00 CAD. I would like to beleive that there is room to negociate .Im retiring in 1 months and we are used to camp ( tent trailer) we also like to be on the road and we are used to travel light ( goldwing or miata ) .The 3010 have the floorplan we like the most, but its uge ! 31 feet long, fits barely in my driveway ( 4 feet to spare ! ) I am not planning for now to get a toad, if UPS can deliver everywhere so i can....yes yes I understand its not the same....anyway, if we really need a toad i'll get one.So here I am, ready to take the plunge, to get killed by depreciation, but hey, its not going to be cheaper next year, and like they say, live today ....hopefully that you didnt get a headaches with my frenchglish....Richard, St Eustache Quebec Canada !

Gezzzzz I forgot the question....no hydrolic leveler, so can i use bottle jack on the frame somewhere ?how easy it is to boondock, the best place are ?The one im looking at have a front window on the fiberglass roof top cap....am i looking for trouble ?in regards of equipments, what is a must have ?rear end swing, to avoid hitting something what cues are you using prior the turn if its tight ?thanks for your input guys

You will love the 3010, I have a 2014 model myself. It only seems huge at first. Just remember point the front where you want to go, and the back will follow. I try to not get in a situation of a tight turn in close quarters, but at gas stations, just keep using mirrors and looking ahead, like your head is on a swivel. No levelers on mine, I just use boards and those plastic squares. I have the heated tanks on mine for cooler weather, and a/c heat pump unit. Love the heat pump, saves propane from not using furnace. The only thing I don't have that I would have ordered on it is a gas/electric water heater, and not just gas. But I bought it off a dealer's lot. I did take the uncomfortable to sit on jacknife sofa out, and added 2 small recliners.

Funny that you talk about the sofa, i was seeing two small lazy boy there instead !how quiet is the quiet onan gen ? Can you sleep when its running ? Are you risking to have rocks thrown through your window if you leave it running in a campground per axample ?

It isn't too loud, but most campgrounds have quiet hours at night when you can't be running generators. I've only used mine once, and just during the day.

BTW, if you remove the sofa, you will need to build a small platform the width of the sofa and 12" wide to bring the floor of the platform out to match the dinette floor. I put casters on it so it won't drag and strain the slide. I put 2 small lazy boys in the spot. Found carpet that kind of matched.

Do you how much they were asking in 2013 when new ?

As for electric: go outside, remove the water heater access panel, get down on your knees, look in the lower left (kind of hidden behind a pipe), there's a small switch there that is the electric switch.

Paullac- thanks for the info. I found it. Still had tape over the "off" side, and couldn't see it.

Are you sure that the one you are looking at is a 2014 model year? I am almost sure the front window on the cabover was removed before then. But, I could be wrong...wouldn't be the first time :)

Thanks Capt ! I never tought about the inverter for the small 120 volts.

Boon Docking....I'll have to read about that also, that look interesting when you are on a long trip and you just want a place to sleep

Just so you know there hardly ever is a reason to run the gen all night. Maybe if you're boon docking and want a/c..bout it.
Everything else will run off of 12 volt except you're microwave.
I have a 12 volt tv/dvr in mine but if you have a 120 volt tv you can use a inverter for that to keep the gen off.
