Tires again

2000 Fleetwood Flair/v-10/F-53/30'/Quick fix & rear trac bar installed
Had 4 245-70R-19.5 14ply from Hankook quoted at $1553.00 but decided on spending a few more bucks ,getting an American made tire also 14 ply which is the same as my steer tires-Firestone 560 for 1777.00 also out the door (mounted, balance beads, long brass stems)-Hopefully the extra 200 bucks keeps an american working-Hoping the Firestone holds up for the next 5-6 yrs-Rich
  • We just replaced our tires with Michelins using the FMCA purchase plan. Saved close to $100/tire.
  • I had the oem Firebombs on my pickup. On the way for a weekend trip with three cub scouts and another dad in my truck we had a sidewall blow out with 6k miles on tires. Firestone didnt want to hear anything. So much for American ingenuity and quality control. Threw them all in the trash and replaced with General AT2. they have been such a good tire im running them on four of my vechiles right now. To me Firestone is junk. Also that price is way to high for either tire. I paid 1,600.00 or 1,700.00 out the door or AH11 19.5s for six.
  • Thanks Dennis,I was hoping to hear from other people who bought Firestone tires for their MH to see if they have had good luck-
Question I thought of -Should I bead balance the rear tires or have them spin balance them???-Rich
  • Finally! Someone who really gets it! Congratulation on your purchase. You'll probably be hearing from some who value the dollar more than the assurance you get from American ingenuity and quality control. May you enjoy many miles of safe travels.....Dennis

  • That price for Hankook AH-11 in your size was waaaay to high. I just had 4 Hankook AH-12 in 275/70R22.5 installed for $450/ea out the door including taxes & balancing.
