Off topic but might be useful to the OP. In VA it is up to the county to decide if your RV is taxed a real property or as a car. This has an effect on the charge for Personal Property Tax (PPT). The RV is taxed based on where it is stored. I do not know how your county taxes RV's, but Prince William Co, where my RV is stored, taxes as Real Property; where as Fairfax, taxes RV and Motorhomes as the cars the vehicle is based on. For now it is less expensive for me to store the RV in another county (also easier for us). As the RV gets older the monthly rental fee may grow to be more than the PPT and then we will have to decide if it is better to have a drive way for the cars or the RV. We have a early 1960's home with a drive way that is as wide as my 2007 RV.
