I know and trust my grammar, it's my gramper, I'm worried about...:B:B....Dennis - Gale_HawkinsExplorerThanks to texting, emailing and not learning how to spell any longer communication in the future may be even harder as the 'right English' becomes unknown.

I knew I was in trouble when my 10-12th grade English teacher said, "Boy I a'int got no hope for you." :) - lanerdExplorer IIWell, since we're discussing the right english... your title to this post was:
"tow vehicle"
So, just so we're talking the right english... a "tow vehicle" is one that is DOING the towing...not the one being towed. Your title should have read:
"Towed Vehicle"
Ok, now back to the story... - johnneyrogerExplorerI understand people have different ways of spelling words. But when they are pronouncing the way its spelled, and remember I am new to this. I just want to make sure I am speaking the right ENGLISH.
- robatthelakeExplorerWe call Ours a Toad!
As in Towed behind along the Road! - Francesca_KnowlExplorer:B
I sense the presence of a Kindred-Spirit-English-Major!
As I'm sure you already know, O.P., the correct word is "dingHy"...many folks overlook that "H" when typing! - johnneyrogerExplorerI thought it had something to do with boats(at least I hoped it was),because I surely don't want something dingy (dirty) following behind me. Thanks
- Executive45Explorer IIICuz "Dingbats" tow "dinghies".....:B:B..Dennis
- Gale_HawkinsExplorerIt seems to be a marine term for what you might tow behind a larger boat/sail boat that you and use to get to shore when the water is shallow.
Note the spelling is different.
