- DwayneNExplorerWe always stay at St Vrain State Park in Longmont and like it there. It can be hard to get into also because it is so close to the metro area.
Good luck! - carp65ExplorerWe always stay at Dakota Ridge in Wheat Ridge, CO. Always full, so make
arrangements prior to arriving. - Mr_Mark1ExplorerI think Denver is the only city where we could rarely find a place when passing through. Everything was always full.
We found a campground directly south of Denver called 'Southpark mobile home and RV park' in Englewood, CO. The area is average (a somewhat commercial area) but the park itself is very clean and the staff was nice.
They do not allow animals (we don't have any). I did see a lady in a 5th wheel parked next to us that had a cat.
Very west of Denver in Glenwood Springs, CO, we stayed in Glenwood Canyon Resort. (north, northwest of Aspen). Very nice campground along the Roaring Fork River.
West of Denver in Central City, CO, we stayed at the Denver West KOA. Nice park on a high ridge.
We've just found it very difficult staying 'in' Denver when passing through without advance reservations. I think I see a business opportunity! LOL!
MM. - gvisnicExplorerYou could try Dakota Ridge in Golden CO
- PatReneeExplorerI just canceled my June reservations at Cottonwood RV in Idahoe Springs.... might still be available..
- Community AlumniCherry Creek in aurora.
Seems that Denver is a busy place I had some reservation issues in October.
