This past week or two or three, on RV.net alone, I constantly get "Service Unavailable". I have to retry several times to get my posts, replies, and corrections loaded, as well as simply viewing the website. It has gotten so bad that I have been avoiding this forum lately. I was hoping it would clear up, but it has gotten worse, absolutely horrible for me this past few days.Is this my problem alone, or is everyone experiencing the same?

I just hit the refresh or reload for the browser and it will load. Even if I reply to a post and it does that, I just hit refresh and it loads my reply just fine.. Yeah, it's a PITA, but they must have a sub par web host or something?? It's free for us, so guess you deal with it or not.. :)MitchPS. Ha, it just did it to me on this post! I just hit refresh and it posted my reply, now I'm editing it... No big deal....

It's been acting up for me for a couple of months.

Yes this problem of the past few weeks is very irritating. I, too, am inclined to visit less often.... What is puzzling is why the site owners have not dealt with it yet....

Open Forum has several portals to gain access thru.RV.Net USED to be a better portal to use.....then the 'Service Unavailable' started a few months ago.I recently swapped to GoodSamClub.com portal.No more 'Service Unavailable' errors but I hate to webpage layout (the muted red banner/red links is cheesey)RV.Net portal will remain a problem cause rarely do glitches get fixed

I also abandoned the RV.net address in favour of
http://forums.goodsamclub.com/
All these portals have the same members, topics and posts so you will be right at home when you switch to a less buggy portal.

after many years and frequent performance issues, I finally abandoned RV.NET portal and switched to trailerlife.com (which I had used occasionally, years ago). Much more reliable performance.

Me too. I deleted my bookmark, it helped for a while once I added a different bookmark. My guess is more folks reading since they are home more?

A good forum, with good folks participating.....most dealing with very poor service! These problems do prompt one to visit other RV forums that are much more user friendly! memtb
