US HIGHWAY 54-KANSAS
Have any of you traveled US 54in Kansas from Liberal to Wichita lately? I am going back to Kansas City and I-40 is in such poor condition I would like to avoid it. How is traffic on 54, what condition is the road in?

- Agree with tinkerer. We travel it from alamogordo NM.and is pretty good all the way. Maybe better in Kansas than other ststes.
- I travel 54 every winter, the road is good and they are building more lanes as time goes by. I usually set my cruise at 65 and very seldom have to pass anyone. A lot of trucks also travel at 65 but some times I get a truck who wants to pass and if I go through a town I pull to right so he can pass just to be courteous.:)
