Used Allegro RED?

We've "just looked" at several new coaches and based on our use, cannot justify the price! BUT we have "just looked" long enough to find a 2010 Allegro RED that is easier to rationalize. 😉

I understand this was the first year Tiffin made the RED but comparing them to the '14 models, the only difference is the wheel base (slightly longer in the '10) and length (about a foot longer in the '14). We've not yet seen this coach but have talked with the owners (they are the original) and it seems to be well maintained and has been garaged when not in use.

The engine & tranny are the same in the '10 as the '14 so there must not be any serious problems with that combo. We are comfortable with the Tiffin quality and after emails & phone calls, our gut feelings tell us the owners are honest but maybe we're really incredibly naive.... :h

Has anyone heard of problems with the 2010 or 2011 Allegro RED?

Thanks! I did join the Tiffin forum and there was a lot of info. It sounds like Tiffin is fixing any of those problems at no charge. It would still be a hassle to arrange and get to Red Bay, AL though.

I would go to the Tiffen Forum and ask directly to Tiffen owners.

If you do a search on here for cracked roof rails, rotted wet bays and side wall issues for Tiffen products you can study these issues in more detail. They seemed to be pre 2012 and were covered by extended warranty. My friend spent several weeks in Red Bay getting these issues fixed. He was happy with the redesigned repairs that Tiffen made. You can check with the current owner to see if these repairs were made before making an offer.
