Vacuflush toilet won't flush - help!

Hold the button down on right for about 5 to 10 seconds and it will flush

There is a thread at http://www.irv2.com/forums/f107/vacuflush-tips-306571.html on the VacuFlush. It has wandered away from the orginal post but has a lot of info in it. Also lot of past discussion too so use the fourm search there too.

Are you sure the tank is empty? There is a float switch in the black tank that can hang up not allowing a flush. Red light means it is getting power so no fuse issues.

Especially with units that have a rear bath. The length of discharge line can be lengthy at times!

Because some plumbing configurations have a long run from the toilet to the tank and solids would bunch up without help.

Has it ever worked correctly since you bought it?

When flushing the toilet there should be a very noticable sucking sound from the material being drawn down into the piping, if there isn't you have no vacuum. Those type toilets are used in marine applications and occasionally others where simple gravity flow isn't possible,
