I bought a Ford pump from eBay to replace the one that failed on mine. The old Ghast pump was located in a hard to reach spot in the frame near the back engine. I mounted the new pump right on the firewall and it works great. Sure it needed some modifications to make it work, but the price was right.
Tip: to keep the vibration noise down, I mounted the pump by hanging it from the firewall on some short bungee cords.
