We had our hearts set on a Grand Design Solitude.....and the we took a look at the Tiffin Allegro Class A 2017 that had bunks for the grandchildren and the overcab bunk for their parents. It was soooo nice. Okay those that own a Tiffin....is it worth the extra cost. We see a Challenger that looks really nice too....but we keep hearing go with the Tiffin. Opinions?

I don't own one but I'm a driver for a major RV dealer so I get to drive most all of them. The Allegro Open Road is by far the quietest and smoothest riding gasser Class A on the market. On the other side the Thor Challenger is the noisiest and seems the cheapest built. See for yourself and take them for a test drive. Tiffin has excellent customer service from owners I've talked with. I wouldn't hesitate buying an Allegro and wouldn't look twice at the Challenger.

You say the gas Allegro is the quietest and smoothest of other gas class A's, how so in the smoothest if they are on the same chassis and year, as to quiet yes some do not have sound proofing in the engine compartment area.

Does Tiffin do suspension upgrades ?
I just drive 'em.

Why does the Allegro not have the power bunk? That is a great feature.

The over head bunk is really a one person deal. It folds open rather than lowering like in some other brands.
We have a new 32SA
