Water seeping under shower framework

After the first MH one of the first things I did was caulk the shower. I did it just to drive the DW to drink, or so she thought.

Ahh, the joys of RV ownership. Don't stress, apply your caulk and enjoy. It's just easier on your health.

They do. Just because yours was built wrong (they did not install the sealant) does NOT mean ALL OEMS have and do the same thing. You are under warranty, take it in and have it fixed. Doug

For less than $10 and less time than it took you to type your rant, you could have fixed it!...granted, you shouldn't have to, but....unless you wish to take the time to return it, wait a day for them to evaluate it, then another day to fix it....just do it and move on. Quality control seems to have left and now vacations in China....Sweat the big stuff...so far this year, I've replaced the muffin fans in the fridge, (they were new) repaired the washer, and replumbed the kitchen sink, (mfg error on routing)...things happen..fix the small things yourself, and enjoy life.....JMHO....Dennis

Makes absolute sense. But I do need to take it in for a few things at the end of the season. I'll continue wiping the floor until then. Sometimes it feels good to be able to push back and get them to consider a better way to approach issues like this. If it were me I'd always be open to ways to reduce costs. I'd bet warranty work is one of the biggest profit eaters. Just my opinion. They'll have it few days, so they can do it on their dime. I work 10-15 hours a day and don't have the patience to do someone else's work in this case. Out of warranty is another story.

Why not share the name of your MH so others can have a head up? Without that information your OP serves no purpose.

I think he's related to the Pillsbury dude or the Michelin man but I'm not sure....:B:B:B.....Dennis

Actually, muffin fans are small 12V fans like you see in the back of a home computer. The Norcold units have two fans mounted above the cooling unit that draw air upward across the cooling unit fins to keep them cool and make them more efficient....Dennis
